About Leora Schiff

Leora Schiff

Leora Schiff is the Founder and Principal of Altius Strategy Consulting, a company that provides product value development planning services to biotechnology, pharmaceutical, diagnostic and medical device companies. She helps companies identify product value propositions for different market stakeholders and plan for the generation of clinical, health economic and quality of life evidence needed to support those value propositions.

Leora has fifteen years of experience in commercial strategy for pharmaceutical, medical device and diagnostic products. In addition to her consulting work, she is a frequent speaker at conferences on topics related to product value, pricing, reimbursement and market access, and publishes articles on these topics.

Prior to founding Altius Strategy Consulting, she was an engagement lead in the Commercial Strategy Group of United BioSource Corporation, a Medco Company, where she managed multidisciplinary project teams, collaborating with the Health Economics and Outcomes Research (HEOR) and Market Access practices.

Previously, Leora was the founding CEO of LSEnterprises, a specialty calibration service supporting R&D, quality control and validation laboratories in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Under her leadership, LSEnterprises became a nationally recognized calibration service and a prime vendor of the Massachusetts Biotechnology Council. After heading the firm for nine years, Leora negotiated the sale of LSEnterprises to Bay Area company, SIMCO Electronics.

Leora has an MS degree in biochemistry and cell biology from Northeastern University, an MBA specializing in finance and technology strategy from the Sloan School at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an AB cum laude from Harvard University concentrating in psychobiology. She is also an affiliate member of the American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) and the American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO), the International Society for Pharmacoeconomic and Outcomes Research (ISPOR), and a merit reviewer for the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI).
