Please join me for the adventure of a lifetime.
As a team of 20-25 biotech leaders, we will raise $1 million to alleviate suffering from poverty in 2025.
We will test our endurance on rugged trails, marvel at Mother Nature, and form lasting friendships. We’re going to work hard together and achieve something big.
We will cover 20 miles, with 7,000 feet of elevation gain, over two days in the North Cascades—some of the most spectacular scenery in North America.
Day 1: Hidden Lake Lookout
Day 2: Cascade Pass / Sahale Arm
See what Timmerman Traverse alumni have to say:
“It was amazing to see leaders across our biotech industry come together to raise funds to help bridge the unfortunately real gap between the medicines we develop, and the patients and communities who need access to them. I’m so grateful to be part of this dream team.”
—Vineeta Agarwala, general partner, A16Z Bio & Health“The industry is at its best when we come together to solve challenges.”
—Jeb Keiper, CEO, Nimbus Therapeutics“We started as industry colleagues with an aligned philanthropic goal. We finished as friends.”
—Reid Huber, partner, Third Rock Ventures“An adventure of a lifetime.”
—June Lee, venture partner, 5AM Ventures
Fundraising: The fundraising minimum for this trip is $35,000. You will start your campaign by making a personal contribution of $1,000 to register.
Each hiker is *required* to raise a minimum of $35,000 for Life Science Cares. My role is to inspire everyone to start early, reach their potential as fundraisers, and to maintain discipline and accountability if people don’t get the job done. **Failure to raise sufficient funds may result in being dismissed from the team at any time.**
Funds can come from a variety of sources: corporate sponsors, friends and family, business colleagues. You are a talented executive or investor. You know how to prioritize and get things done. You will find a way.
What Are We Supporting? The money we raise will go to a network of community nonprofits vetted by Life Science Cares in five biotech hubs across the country. Some of these organizations provide short-term necessities like food and shelter. Others support science education and job training that offer long-term opportunities to help lift people out of poverty. Learn more about Life Science Cares.
